As an outreach component of Oklahoma State University, OFST provides training and educational services that enable Oklahoma emergency responders to safely meet recognized standards of professional competence.
The Fire Marshal agency is charged with the responsibility of enforcing the codes and standards relative to fire and life safety adopted by the State Fire Marshal Commission and as designated by state statutes. The State Fire Marshal or his agents investigate acts of arson, or attempted arson, or conspiracy to defraud, and keep records of such investigations.
The United States Congress created the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation to lead a nationwide effort to remember America’s fallen firefighters. Since 1992, the tax-exempt, nonprofit Foundation has developed and expanded programs to honor our fallen fire heroes and assist their families and coworkers.
The National Fire Fighter Near-Miss Reporting System is a voluntary, confidential, non-punitive and secure reporting system with the goal of improving fire fighter safety.
