Today our monthly training for Bridge Creek Fire department took place in which we provided hands on training in vehicle extrication and patient care. This gave our new members the opportunity to learn about auto extrication and tooling and allowed our senior members to further their knowledge and skills. We cover 6 miles of the HE Bailey turnpike and Hwy 4 as well as Hwy 37 run through our district so these skills practiced today are essential in providing the best on scene tactics and patient care.
A special thanks to Justin Hopper, 2K services for letting us use his skid steer to get the vehicles in specific situations to replicate vehicle accidents. We are also very thankful to BK towing as well as Thomas Wrecker for the vehicle donations to allow this hands on training to take place.
Tim Erickson with Blanchard Fire Department assisted in the training of our department today as well. We are grateful for his knowledge and expertise!
