1) When coming upon wrecks please try to refrain from taking pictures/videos and posting online to social medias. Most of the time family members have not been notified yet and finding out on social media that your loved one has been in an accident and possibly deceased is no way to learn of such tragic news. Please show compassion and respect for victims and families, don’t post online. In addition, when you take your eyes off the road and start filming you put our firefighters and other first responders in danger.
2) Do not share details of a situation unless you have a verified source. There are multiple posts and comments containing false information today. This not only spreads untrue information but it also can cause people who have been provided limited verified information with stress and anxiety.
3) If you are going to share Information from a post, share the actual post as generally these posts will contain appropriate updates to the public on the matter.
